What size extension bar is it that you are using for the 5/8 tool?
do the coil packs have resistors ? should you non resister plugs ? If you put cheap plugs in a Mercedes Benz it causes all kinds of electrical problems , you did not state if the plugs have or do not have resistors !
is it the same for a 2005 as well? Because mines is an Touring
