Chrysler Town and Country Window Regulator Replace

Chrysler Town and Country Window Regulator Replace

Driving and heard a grinding noise, then my window fell down and stopped working. Did some research and figured it was the window regulator, but unfortunately there was no “how to” videos for my make and model, so I made my own for all of you! enjoy.

You are awesome! Thank you for taking the time to make this video and showing people how to do this. You saved us a ton of dough by allowing us to make the repair ourselves.

L Burke says:

Robert, thank you for this video. I have a 2009 Dodge G.C. and just ordered the Doorman replacement regulator and extra door clips. What tools should I have for this job? Thx, Lyn

desmond atkins says:

how do you know its the regulator before taking the door a part?

Brian Bishop says:

Thank you! This video helped me so much!

RacecarAndChill says:

Thank you for making this!

Ken Cannon says:

Well mine lasted 10 years before it broke but you saved me a few hundred bucks still! thanks for the vid. Dorman replacement regulator was just over 40 on Amazon, $20 cheaper than anywhere local.

Marcus Robinson says:

tried to do this but the panel couldn't be pried off. those little white pins were in there good and I was beginning to dent/scratch the door too much.

Eli Beachy says:

Thank you! Absolutely a lifesaver. Just replaced the regulator for my 2011 Grand Caravan. Only difference is there is an extra clip and rod for the key lock. I nearly ripped it off trying to remove the unit from the door but all’s well in the end! Lol! Just over two hours and $60 spent for a working window again.

BaconStrips0 says:

How did you get the clips on the regulator back onto the window?

Patrick Dean says:

Thanks for showing the dang struggles and even fails like the window falling. Sadly looks like this is the 2nd time replacing this unit.

Bob M says:

Wow. Thank you. I tried to take this apart on my own and didn’t think I was going to get everything back together. I needed to change my lock actuator. I couldn’t have figured this one out on my own.

Matt Blackwell says:

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks a bunch.

Ray Gomez says:

Very Helpful.

Gerald Fox says:

Great tutorial. Enough delays to see how things are done. Many thanks.

Jeffrey Slater says:

How long did it take you to do all this?

Stephen V says:

9:34. That plastic wheel has failed on my TC 4 times now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The cable seems to just bind up and pull free from the housing. I wonder if I'm installing it wrong or its just a cheap replacement?

Ray Grigsby says:

I know you've posted this over 2 1/2 years ago & I noticed there was a cable that looked like it had detached from the motor assembly. I'm not sure of your situation because of no sound or explanation, so was your motor bad? If the motor did work then maybe all was needed is to reconnect the wire to the motor. I am currently fixing my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan with the same problem, but I hear the motor working & there is the same wire that is disconnected. I may post a video in the next couple of days. It's so HOT… here in the high desert of So. cal.

Kristina Retana says:

Incredible!!! Thank you SO much!! Our window just made a loud pop and we freaked out. We found your video to disassemble and figured out it is the same issue. You are a hero.

VicariousClouds says:

Thanks man. Great video. Woulda rather had you talk it out so I can hear it audibly. None the less. Great tutorial.

Used this at work.

Jeremy Perrod says:

Man, you are a lifesaver…I can normally figure this stuff out pretty easily but damn did they make it complex to get to the regulator on these…this works for the VW Routan also, FYI to all…exact same setup

Fernando Hernandez says:

Great video. Thanks!!!

nbookie says:

How did you hook the exterior door handle rod back up? I have 2 since it's the drivers side. With the tracks in place I am lost.

Ryan Hollister says:

The engineer who designed that should be drugged out into the street and shot

Mark Zalenski says:

Great video! Thanks. A tip for holding the window up is to use wedges pushed downward in the window slot. Any downward slipping tightens the wedge instead of loosening it.

juan manuel Tornero says:

thanks buddy…..good video
