great video man! even thought you said you were not a mechanic, you did a really good job explaining and showing us how its done. Thanks
In the land of the blind, the man without a tripod is king!! Thanks Doood
Hey! Thanks alot, it had just what the hubby needed! And more, i know it was hard to film by yourself, but u did a good job! 🙂
I have a 02 Stratus coupe, just purchased it and maybe I should have done more research before buying. The coupe is basically a completely different car than the sedan, more closely related to the Sebring or eclipse. Not sure about your year Sebring, but any advice on finding parts easier?
thank you, it was a great video.
Thanks for the video! About to do the lower control arm on my 1999 Plymouth Breeze, and was wondering if the suspension would explode when i pulled the bottom bolt off. Glad to see that it doesn’t 🙂
awsome vid thank you
Thanks a million, your vid helped me take a 800 dollar investment and and turn it into a 7000 profit.!!!
Is that AFI you’ve got playing? Wordddddd.
how about for a 1999 chrysler lhs
great job dude!
thanks for the nice video with useful practical information. Do you have a video about replacing the front wheels bearings on a stratus, as well?
over 500
Thanks for the vid….nice to see some useful, detailed, info. Will be doing similar work on my 2000 Chrysler 300 m and wanted to get an idea of how it’s done before I jump right in. You definitely helped me out….thanks again
I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking but it can be tough to get the axle out of the transmission (the end of the axle has a snap ring that holds it in place). I remember it saying in the manual to “pull sharply” on the axle to dislodge the axle. Maybe you could get a “slide-hammer” on the end of the axle to knock it out. Not sure if that’s a GOOD idea, but it’s just an idea…
How if it the axle would get part of it stuck to engine?
There are two rivets behind the wheel(front) and infront of the back wheel. it meets at what you call a weld point. and you put the jack stands on the axle itself don’t put it anywhere else or you and the car can get really hurt!
How much would this cost to have repaired at a shop?
This was awesome!! Thanks for being so generous by sharing & explaining your findings/knowledge!! I too like a previous commenter am hoping this is similar to the 2000 convertible…my drivers side tie rod broke off…thank God, still her to tell about it & fix it 🙂 Thanks again for your posting…appreciate it!
Thanks alot man I was looking on autozone and the 2 pieces I needed were 25 dollars and 19 dollars.. At Firestone they told me that the tie rod was what need to be replaced they told me 225 dollars I told them they were out of their minds. Thanks for the video I am sure I could of figured it out but this saved me probably hours of times Thank you sir much appreciated
Sorry, I don’t have a video of that side. And don’t know of one either. That’s why I did this video b/c I couldn’t find one myself. Best of luck!
great job man now can you show the passenger side axle replacement or link to a video that does show need help bad with that side thanks to the dumb middle part
Nice video thanks for taking the time!
Hey nice video I was wondering I have the same car where do you Jack it up and put the stands. Thanks
Excellent video man! In my experience online, most information on this model car is badly jumbled up with its convertible and twin models. All around generally good advice, and gave me an idea of what to expect dealing with my tie rods 🙂
This was very helpful, i hope the setup of this is very simular to a 2000 300m
mhh! u just used alot of unneeded tool waste of time!
Very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make the video.
Great job ! You made it look pretty easy which I know it isn’t. You couldn’t do a better job.
great video man quick and to the point
Thats Great !!! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this!
great vid man just so you guys know I am not trying to bash on his methods but if you do use a torque wrench as a breaker bar I do not recommend using it as a torque wrench any longer merely a breaker bar at that point
Noticed your jack stand wasnt in the usual location, where did you put your jack stands? (the usual spots on my car are heavily rusted) – 1998 chrysler cirrus. Nice video should be doing the same thing this weekend appreciate the help!
Great video, i have the same car, what sockets sizes did you use please?, i dont want to buy the whole set.
Great vid man! More than helpful..you mentioned you were getting the lower control arm later on in the day..did u make a vid for that job?
Dude this was a huge time saver. I have a 2000 Neon that had a bent inner Tie Rod. Very well explaned!
