I’m about to buy a 98 cirrus lxi from a relative with 135k miles on it. How reliable are these cars on a day to day basis?

Snyder9391 says:

in my case the line blew so there was no need to drain coolant. but yes draining coolant is recommended or you will make a good mess. and just fill it back up and start the car and keep it topped off. no real air bleeding procedures it will do that on its own.

Did you have to drain the coolant before replacing? Also, what are the procedures when adding the coolant and running the car?? Thank you
