Gary S says:

Great video except for the background music, it is terrible and I know you use it on other videos. I am a blue driver owner.

David D'Amico says:

very very good and lots of detail where you talked about not being able to line up new motor with trans case it would be hepfulll to tell why, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE HELPFULL IF YOU SAID TO HAVE THE 2 REAR END WHEEL OFF THE GROUND wHY ? MY NEW DOOR MAN MOTOR CAME WITH THE PINION IN 3 OCLOCK NOT 6,( WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN NEUTRAL,) IF THE REAR END WAS OFF THE GROUND I COULD HAVE TURND DRIVE SHAFT TO JIGGER THE LINE UP(MOVE PINION IN TANSFER CASE.. ANYWAY JUST ANOTHER WAY TO ADUST,
probably should have taken it back to store, but was late and saw on an

WellcraftCaptain210 says:

I appreciate the info especially the part with the bearing caps!! First time tackling this project for me. This video definitely helped, however there is one minor issue. The current part number for the grease you have listed is no longer used. I was searching for it and after a couple of calls to Chevy Parts departments, the guy on the phone told me the old number is obsolete and I'm has been discontinued.

The new replacement part for the grease is GM P/N 19257121

I hope this helps!

Mike Bartlett says:

I have a 01 Tahoe i have hi 4 but not low 4 I’m going to replace the old motor with a new one can this be my problem

Colby White says:

You’re supposed to hold 2Hi and 4Low to go into neutral

Travis Kellogg says:

I have a 2000 Sierra 1500 4wd. When I switch from 2wd hi to 4wd hi, the light will flash, then stop flashing as though it has engaged in 4wd. However, the front wheels are not being engaged. The front drive shaft will turn, but the front axle shafts/tires are not rotating. I did learn that there is a front actuator motor which I'll be checking on tomorrow after work. My question is this: when is 2wd hi, is the transfer case supposed to disengage with the front drive shaft too? Or is the disengaging done with the actuator motor on the front differential?

la nave del sabor says:

Under normal circumstances what would be some of the reasons why you want to have the transfer case in neutral other then for diagnostic reasons as in this video??????

Jesse Dominguez says:

Why won’t my front drive shaft turn? Do I need to lift the Tahoe? It is currently stuck in 4hi and will not shift into neutral. Any advice?

Charles Harrison says:

I thought it was called an actuator? Good video!

stanley koziol says:

umm it 2 high and 4 low to shift

David Massey says:

Great video guys; very informative!

Fish 4 Fun says:

Could I still drive with a bad encoder motor till I can get around to changing it? Should drive just fine just might not be able to go in 4×4?

Khime84 says:

What uf you have a 200 z71 with a manual transfer case?

Harvey Polanco says:

Are all the transfers case the same from 2000 Chevy to 2004 and if the wires are different will the still work if I remove the same parts you change on the video

VooDoo 511 says:

Just did mine today, piece of cake after watching the videos on it. Thanks
