Strange advice. 5 years down the road, wiped with white lithium and used align tool to install, and have not seen a single drop coming from the crank rear/4L60E TC.
I use all AC Delco OE seals… just did one on my 05 Chevy Astro and it works fine. I have seen the Mahle and Fram PTFE seals and I am reluctant to use them. Oh, and I feel you on the 4l60e transmission. The 3/4 piston on mine took a dump and I decided to completely rebuild it.
