Would this work for a 2007 Silverado 1500 5.3 v8 ?

Kashikosh says:

In addition! Wondering how much GM approved coolant you’ll need to replenish the system? I bought 2 GALLONS of concentrate and it took a little more than 1 gal. once I diluted it so in essence a little more than 2 gallons when mixed with half water!

Kashikosh says:

[FYI] You will also need a 15mm socket to remove the tension pulley. What is not shown is the flushing system process and this installation came with the thermostat installed/included but if you have already changed the thermostat like I did… you will use the 10mm socket to remove/reinstall the thermostat housing on the new pump. I’ve been troubleshooting a overheating problem for a while and I hope that this is the resolution to my problem!

Great video. I feel like if I was that deep in the game I’d just slap on a new alternator and serpentine belt while I’m up in there

Thank you for the video. Saved me some money!

Is it true about the comment below about some sort of grease on the gaskets and tape on the bolts just so I know because I'm changing out my water pump tomorrow dont want to make that mistake please reply as soon as possible thank u 1A Auto Parts love the videos they always come in handy please reply soon tho dont want to make that mistake

Mark Cioni says:

The camera person gets credit too.

DSpang says:

Great video but I did it myself and the engine over heated, so I took it to Goodyear and it cost my dad $536 to fix it. They told us that they're has to be some grease on the gaskets and some kind of tape on the screws so that it doesn't leak through the screws which isnt in the video. They said I did a great job with everything but I just missed some things. Also I put in a brand new thermastat and it didnt work

DrTTube says:

Is there any harm in leaving the coolant higher than the line?

Comarade Lee says:

nice video. how would i know if my pump is failing?
