Here is how to remove and replace the side mirror on a Chevrolet truck from 1988 to 1998. The side rear view mirror is held on by three nuts and there is an electric cord to power the motor. Removing the bottom two nuts is tricky because of the angle, but you can get to them with a flat wrench. Watch this video to learn how to remove and replace side mirrors on an old Chevrolet truck.
Best way to get the bottom right out??
So why did you have to replace the whole mirror assembly? They sell mirrors at the auto parts store for $10 and it's glued on with clear silicon…
What size wrench?
All these videos keep saying "on a Chevy truck" like it's the only Chevy truck in existence. My 1992 does not work this way.
Great video dude, was actually looking to replace the mirrors on my family's Astro van so this video came just in time in order for me to try it in the next month or so.
Looks like a much better option! The glass did not look right.
I used swivel sockets from harbor freight to make it easier.
