To the people complaining about the title, honestly who gives a shit? On these trucks you’re going to replace the hub assembly with the bearing, otherwise you wind up hydraulically pressing the bearing into place, which is no picnic. The point is that this was a good, well informed video for anyone who has trouble with this particular repair.
Your title to this video is WRONG, you changing the wheel hub, that includes the new bearing in it.
isn`t right by title
i have a 2001 1500 with no axle, this video is right, by the title
Just tighten the axle nut with an impact,you can't do damage to the wheelbearing and is 100% impossible to fully torque the axle nut down.Plus you can't overtighten the axle nut with an impact.I do this all the time and no comebacks,stop when the socket quits turning.
Nice vid but I seem to pound on them till my hammers gives out. Always good to have a backup hammer. LOL
