Great video thank you, how long does it take to do this for beginners? Thanks

Jedidiah says:

I watched this video the other night before doing a strut on my Acadia. There's one gotcha that probably should be mentioned. At around the 17M mark in the video you'll see him putting the bolts back through and tightening them down. But the struts are able to pivot in and out on the top bolt, changing the angle of the steering knuckle. When I first put it together, I didn't realize that it could pivot on the top bolt and put it together with it pivoted completely forward. Taking it out for a test drive I got a Stabilitrack warning on the dash.

I brought it back home and looked up why I'd get that error found someone else with the same problem. I loosened the bolts again and pivoted it towards the back and buttoned everything back up again. Took it out for a test drive and the Stabilitrack error was gone. I'm going to schedule a full alignment since it probably needs to be aligned after both struts were replaced.

Otherwise this is a great video, I've watched dozens of them for various vehicles I own.

You guys are amazing. I was quoted 2k to do all 4. And also thanks for showing the reinstall indtead of just saying to reverse install. Like most videos do. Since its during the re install that most of us end up with left over parts.

Vince Lowery says:

What are the brand of glove you are using?

Monte Webster says:

I used this video to replace a friend's struts today. He was in an accident and now is in a wheelchair, so he can't do these types of repairs like he used to.
This video assured me that this repair was in my wheelhouse and also what I needed to prep for it. Thanks for mentioning the torque specs, too. It was perfect for what I needed, and it all went perfectly. Top marks!

Joseph Moody says:

You really should add at the end of your video that is a front end alignment is required after this repair. Other than that critique this is a great video.

brian garcia says:

Good job bro

David Dieter says:

Works good to hold up the wheel assembly with wood blocking so there’s no stress on the brake line.

ykkrltel says:

I was quoted $1150 at the dealership today to change these.

Kyle Manning says:

JBenso says:

Sway link bottom nut torque value?? The top was only covered at 55 ft lbs.

Tool In Hand says:

I have a Traverse. When the time comes, I'm just cutting out those plastic grates instead of going through all that.

Chris Andrews says:

This video was awesome. Thank you for loading this. I literally bought the set from your site (cheapest I’ve found) and the video gave me a step by step. It took me 2 hours from start to finish from lugs off to lugs on. The local auto repair quoted me 804 dollars (cheapest) in town.

175 for parts. Then 75 for the alignment. That was a 554 dollar saving. This is the second time I’ve used this site for repairs, and saved to this date close to 1000 dollars.

Lyle Bitsue says:

is an alignment needed after this?

WILLIAM GRAYSON says:

A lot of pressure on that brake line!

Edward Seifert says:

Looks like the spring thickness is not the same on the new assembly…looks thinner than the original. That will affect the ride.

etwproductions says:

Service Stabitrak light comes on after the repair. Any idea? 2010 traverse.

Roma says:

Do I have to change both at the same time? Or I can change only one , thanks

gun-nut257 says:
