This video is wrong you will end up ripping your radiator hose the starter isnt meant to be tooken out right there…it is alot easier to just remove oil filter by the starter then remove starter then replace oil filter

yse zak says:

Do u need a torque wrentch for the bolts on the starter or can u do it without

Clifton Hollins says:

It's easier to remove the starter by removing the oil filter.. don't fight with it by trying to go over the lower radiator hose..

is this on the drivers side or the other?

Nick Pauletto says:

I do have a question…and it's been in the back of my mind for the last 25 years. It is the reason I NEVER replaced a starter. Do you need to shim/check to gap between the starter gears and the flywheel? This was something that was required on a mid 80's Pontiac. Or are the newer starters not requiring to gap them properly anymore. Your help would be greatly appreciated as I am finding myself possibly helping a family member replace a starter today.
