Great info. Thank you for helping us out. I was about to pay hundreds. I did it myself instead.

Nick Laffy says:

Sorry old video, but what if my driver side blows only cold air no matter what, but there’s no clicking? Same problem?

daniel elizondo says:

great video. this is going to help so many people save money…. I just wanted to say "thank you".

Ra'ed Abdel-Hadi says:

Huh my 09 Impala is stuck warm on driver side and cold on passenger side. Temp switch for both does nothing. Had click under pass. dash but nothing under driverside.

Stackz says:

This helped for my 2013 impala. Shop wanted $600. The part is only like $20

James Mcconahay says:

I just replaced this part in my 2012. Instead of alligator clips very carefully take the unit apart and turn the gear to the same position as the old one then snap it back together it took me about an hour I'm a bigger guy with big hands and it was a pain in the ass but it's done and working fine thanks for the video

Paul Smith says:

The strange thing about my father in law's Impala was the actuator continued to click, on and off, for several minutes even after the keys were removed. The darn actuator rotated after I had removed it but while it was still hooked up and was 90 degrees from the correct position when I matched it up to the old one. Took me a while to figure this out. Great instructional video. Saved the old boy a small fortune. Thanks for posting this

Update:

I did everything exactly like in the video but it didn't work on my car… any suggestions

Flavia Saxon says:

Thank you for this video I'm a proud woman tht followed your instructions and save 300+ by replacing the actuator myself!!!

PonchoDayton says:

Thanks for the video! Saved me a couple hundred bucks. I don't know how you got it done at the angle you were doing it at either. I had to try doing it upside-down after seeing another commenter having success that way, and FINALLY got it done. Took me 5 hours total, maybe 1.5 after I went upside down. Anyone that got this done in 10-20 minutes or whatever must have the smallest hands ever, and zero broadness to their shoulders whatsoever.

Mil Gracias for sharing this video thanks a lot. Keep up the good work!

Thanks once again

Great video. we have a 2010 Impala that already had once actuator replaced on the passenger side. The Chevy dealer (Highland, IL) wanted several hundred to fix, claiming it was a difficult and the parts were "expensive". After watching and re-watching the steps in your video……2 hours of my time (having to get part, take apart, and put together) and roughly 35$ for the part from O'Reileys. Thanks again!

I just completed this job it took me a long time its very hard to get to its a job suited for woman or a small child its very hard to get tools in to remove the screws. I do not know how you managed to film this and do it i had no room what so ever to work
