Hey guys. John here with realtruck.com Today, I want to show you how to install the K&N 63 series air charger, high performance air intakes onto this 2014 Chevy Silverado. First thing we got to do to get this thing on to our truck is to get this out of the box. We’re going to go ahead and open it up and get everything out of the box and laid out where it needs to go. So that way, we can see exactly what we’ve got here. It’s always a good idea to check and make sure that everything is supposed to be with the kit, comes with the kit before you get started on your project. So we’re going to get that out of there. Eventually, we’re going to get that out of there. All right, cool. Here we go. We’ve got everything laid out here. We can see that we’ve got all the parts we need to get this on the truck. As you can see, it comes with everything you need. It comes with your plate for your air intake sensor and also the gasket for that. Also, you have the adapter and hoses that will replace your PCV valve on your truck.
Also, you have the couplers that we need to get this thing hooked up. Your new air tube, air box, the coupler to attach the good part to the air box and also you have your clamps to attach your couplers and your trim that goes around this air box so that way, you don’t have sharp edges and such on the sides that you got to worry about. These are vehicle-specific which means that this tube is going to fit this truck so you don’t have to worry if you order one for this truck, you’re not going to get a bunch of generic parts in your kit that you have to throw half of them away because they don’t work on yours. So you’re not paying for anything extra that you don’t need. Also, something that you are paying for that you do need is increased horse power. And that’s what you’re going to get out of this kit, some increased horse power plus one of the really cool things is because this replaces the OEM filter and air box and this only has to be serviced every hundred thousand miles by simply taking it out, wash it, dry it, put it back in the truck.
Let’s start getting this onto the truck. We’re ready to start putting our K&N 63 series into our truck. But the first thing we want to do is go ahead and unplug all of our sensors and get those out of the way and on this one, what we want to do first is go ahead and take our mass air flow sensor loose and in order to do that, you can see on here there is a red clip that’s a safety clip to hold that so it doesn’t come off. What we want to do is just pull that up.

Quick question.. Shouldn't you have to put some hose clamps on the new hoses you put onto the pcv valves? Sorry if it sounds dumb but I'm just curious since the oem hoses were clamped onto the stock unit..

Excellent video. I just needed to verify a few things while installing mine. If I may make a suggestion…please add where to use the washers and lock washers. The instructions do not say and I visually saw where you used yours but it was sketch. Overall great vid. Thanks.
