I have seen multiple forums asking about how to fix reduced engine power in Chevy and GMC vehicles with scattered responses. I have now had reduced engine power with service stabilitrak system warnings in my 2011 GMC Sierra and 2010 GMC Terrain which were resolved simply by cleaning the throttle body. This project costs only about $15 and takes about 15 minutes. I hope this helps everyone with this problem.

Anon says:

I suppose on some of these that didn’t work, maybe you have to actually replace the throttlebody. If you were to replace the throttlebody, is there programming involved because it has a chip?

To take the electrical plug out on the side use your screwdriver to push the plastic lock back once the lock is pushed back it will come unplugged and you can remove the whole throttle body
