Adjust your bump stops on the firewall. If they're down too far they will cause the back of the hood to come up. May have to adjust the latch as well

Terrall Putnam says:

you should have kept the back half of that southern cab. Oh well, water under the bridge now.

Looks like the fenders were stamped wrong.

Sebastian DeFrancisci says:

I had a 78 eldorado I was constantly changing the hood hinges because the hood was so heavy it would tweak them and I hated the lift so I was constantly pushing down on the hood to keep it flush with the fenders by the way love the truck build

William Perry says:

Goodmark industries makes OEM replacement panels, but they're not cheap. Try classic industries or LMC truck. They have the best prices I've seen

blob darkass says:

Get up on the truck and stand where the hood is sticking up and move your body up and down a little to see if that does the trick and bends/pushed it down closer to line up. Just be careful not to bend it too much. Can't say that will work for sure on the truck but the older GM cars like 68-72 GTO and Chevelles etc we have to do that when restoring.. we think it is because the hood is actually bent from over the years pushing against the hinges when you close it and it needs to be forced back to line up.

Shadrach Sandi says:

Can't wait you put an ls in that truck!
