Grond269 says:

If you were to replace a 4l60e transmission AND the 5.3l engine in this truck, in what order would you do the swaps? Would you drop the trans first, then pull the engine, replace the engine, then put the trans back in?

BenjiPOTF says:

In my area You can get salvage yard engines for $200-280 problem is none of them are under 180k miles so I Just bit the bullet and bought a re manufactured one. In my case it was an internal crack coolant was mixing in with engine oil, didnt notice it until it was too late.

Richard Fox says:

Just did same job but was a 4.3 (a little more room) and your video was very helpful. One main difference was we did mine in a 140 year old log barn, not much room. Thanks for all your videos. PS it runs great.

Paublus Americanus AMERICANUS says:

Let's see Eric, a brand new transmission. I am guessing you put it in. I have been watching Precision Transmission down in Dallas. They no longer sell carry out transmissions because it is so critical to set them up correctly in the vehicle with every component set properly. I am guessing that you let the customer attach the last components thus the 30 mile lifetime.

James R Day says:

I was just wondering if you did stuff like this and you could make a video 3 hours long and I would watch. Love the detail. I've done this before with older vehicles so I love to see how the newer models go. Also, does your tools have the updates for computer modules? I know gm had some updates for the transmission and such and I'm wondering how we get those updates now? The dealer won't touch my 99. I thought about shipping my truck to you because everybody down here in Mississippi sucks!! Great videos…I'm trying to catch up on all the years.

Jose Zarate says:

This could be a great video for me to watch I have 01 .chevy 1500

Al Mackie says:
