Derek Verville says:

I've been doing this in my GMC Sierra when I have time and i'll let you know this. I've put 12v led bulbs in my 4wd, dome, fog, and dimmer switches, as well as my instrument cluster and they all work fine. All this talk of resistors and stuff is non-sense. I haven't had any "dim" or burnt out bulbs at all. Do yourself a favor and order a 50 pc pack. Polarity will be trial and error but it's really easy to solder and unsolder as needed. Cluster has 11, 4wd switch has 2, cargo and fog light switch has 2, dimmer switch has 1. About to get into door switches and radio. Do yourself a favor and invest in a solder sucker.
