@Fitzee Fabrications Question on the door repair .. Cut & Butt you left the metal long all good there . then you flipped the door and cut off the extra and you used that too do the bottom it was short ok ,, question is if you just scored it then folded it over could that have saved you time ?? but then you would have to add 2 pieces 1 at each end ,, guess I might of just answered my question ,, Great Videos you do .. PLEASE keep them coming .. have to do a Jeep tail Gate for my dads Jeep and then my jeep ,, this video helps ..inner and outer work on them tail gates ,, will try and get pictures . thankyou for your videos ,, I would have fought and tried to make the patch in one piece ,, ugh got all then metal tools Harbor Fright and auctions .. still learning how to use them ,, I am a natural at small engines and wood work .. steel replacement is new .. back when 1st started driving rust buckets ,, would just fill with Bondo .. to keep the air and water out of the auto ,,they looked great at 60 mph LOL

Hey Fitzee. I see you doing a lot of grinding. I learned the hard way to cover glass on vehicles in proximity to the grinding. I bought glass for a nearly new pickup parked 20 feet away from my 9 inch grinder project…..just thought I'd mention it for what it's worth.

I have the same issue on both doors of my ‘50. I really appreciate you doing this.

Mike Fn Garage says:

That is EXACTLY how I would have done it too….Cutting that door skin in most situations would also have a higher chance of warpage. That one in particular would not have warped because it was round. But making a patch panel was for the skin was totally unnecessary…..Good call Would have done it same way.
