Wow – great video currently I'm stuck with Compressor ON – BUT no cold Air – added Synectic A/C freon – nothing not a bit of cold air – I'm wondering if this can be it – thanks

Ralph L says:

I did it!
Only took about 2 hours, excluding rest periods. I think he used the camera to see where things were, because it's nearly impossible to get your hands, tool, and eyeballs (and the light) in the right positions at the same time. Removing the brake pedal isn't feasible, but I wanted to.

You'll want pads for your knees and ribcage on the door sill. The duct splits in two lengthwise if you pull down hard on its lower half, which helped visibility and access a lot, but it doesn't come out. I wedged a block between its upper half and the aluminum heater tubing to keep it out of the way more. I broke some of its locking tabs, but it's mostly back together.

I already had an offset hex bit, but my power driver was too big and cumbersome, so I used the screwdriver from my socket set. My 3 inch long philips screwdriver was also useful and probably could have done the job by itself.

Dave B says:

Great video, I was afraid I was going to pull the dashboard out.

How do you know when this goes bad?
