Cadillac STS: How To Replace Your Cracked Car Dash – Because Nobody Loves Cracks

Cadillac STS: How To Replace Your Cracked Car Dash – Because Nobody Loves Cracks

It all started out with 1-3 small cracks in my dash grille and grew into a nightmare so I glued it and that lasted for a week. Then I bought a new dash grille and installed it. I did the repair on a 2005–2010 Cadillac STS

Here is the part I bought http://www.gmpartsnow.com/?year=2005&make=cadillac&model=sts&search_str=defroster+grille&p=catalog&mode=search&scat=&search_in=all

Here is a link to the website where I bought the defroster grille from.

Thank bro.. appreciate you taking the time to show us this. Have the same problem with my escalade and they want to charge me 300 to install and it took 350$ to get the replacement. American made cars seem to be loosing their touch in making solid parts.

Brother Great Video…Have an 05 STS.. after careful consideration I am planning the removal of the stock stereo (6 disc, no navi)..and replacing it with thw Pioneer DEH80PRS..FANTASTIC head unit..I plan on adding the steering wheel module , the antenna adapter, and retain the ACC functions (even tho i never run the stereo with the car off) and completely ditching the bose system ..I have two Rockford Fosgate 4 OHM Dual VC 12" subs powered by two RF 500 watt mono amps (1 for each sub)..in the largest "QBOMB" ported box they make…along with various Infinity and Pioneer speakers and a 600 watt 4 channel amp..The DEH has the ability to be Hi's, Mids and Lows, instead of just Hi's and Lows with crossovers, so comparable sound to the bose is attainable, and much much louder..Are there any hangups that i should be aware of that you might know of?..Im just planning on installing everything as if from scratch..Is there a certain way thru the firewall?..or the doors?..i should probably take out my front seats..Do you know where i could get any help on wiring the 05 STS with an aftermarket system?..I need help!..Please!!..ive never owned a cadillac..never installed anything in one…

Thanks for the vid. The dash pad to our 2003 Cadillac CTS is starting crack – nothing major; but, it ain't going to get any better over time.
