Great tutorial – have a friend with a 98 Deville with p0741 code on it. Good to know it is possible to replace the solenoid without removing the entire engine and transmission. No doubt they will want me to replace this before their inspection next May.

Pandahz says:

Please help I can not get the dam case apart. I’ve did very light prying. Didn’t work. I tried banging on it like crazy won’t come off. Tried pulling from the bottom. I’ve taken off everything. Watched a few videos on this repair now I’m stuck haven’t gotten the case upset much at all still seems like it is stuck. I’ve taken out 4 bolts and 3 studs out of the side pan itself now how do I get this bitch off.

Priceless Motivation says:

Omg you just saved me thousands of dollars!!!

3139780151 says:

U say that bracket bolt is a 18mm but my stubby 18 or 19mm not fitting I’m going to buy a 20 mm stubby tomorrow hopefully that fits

Rick Flaten says:

Did you have to replace the tcc because of engine overheating. My obd says that is what is causing my over heating problem. But uncertain why that would be.

WEREFEAT 035 says:

Good job! Thank you, but I hope I never have to do it myself.

Todd Novak says:

What would you do if you cannot find the clip and the filter falls off inside that pan? Asking for a friend..

Ralph Dukes says:

Did you have to remove the hoses by the mount bracket to remove the mount bracket because I'm having trouble with no room for the wrench

Carlos Diaz says:

Cody Jones says:

Mine also threw a code for the tcc. I have the car on the lift. Im unbolting the whole subframe and raising the car. Way easier for me.
