This thermostat is used on thru 2022 Cadillacs and other GM vehicles. If not under warranty the cost is $1200 – $2400 (depends on the sleaziness of the dealer) to replace. Typical GM strategy, piss customers off to save a buck! If you experienced this, like me, notify NHSA!

Was the vehicle overheating or not getting to operating temperature?

If you are watching this I’m willing to bet you have 2017 year model for some reason those will be 95% of the thermostats in the shop for xt5’s
