I have to do the same door on my EXT only because the sun melted the chrome on top of my handle and it doesn't look good. Thank you very much for such a good video.
Any idea about how to go about getting new replacement bolts? For instance what is the size and where would you get them from? I found that when my handle pulled off it also stripped the threads.

Extremely helpful – same exact problem, pulled on the handle on a cold morning, and broke the handle attachment. These handles are easily broken.

Andy this was the best video I have seen. Replaced the same handle on my 2007 Escalade. The rod clip was tough – it didn't pop open even with a screwdriver. I had to hold the tab back and put force against the rod to snap it open. I also had to spray some WD40 on the door mechanism that catches on the door jamb because the handle was hard to pull and that seemed to help. I think one of us would have broken the new one if I didn't lube it. Thanks again.
Hey, i tried doing that on my 14 Escalade. The door rod clip is completely different and i wasn't able to open it. Any input on this?

Ice cube will make plastic harder before you work around it.
Happened to me too. I used epoxy to fix.
