Hey buddy I tried and tried to get the correct module but none to be found anywhere , so I ran 2 switches 1 for blower and a switch to jump thermostat to call for AC clutch to engage , it has never blown colder air , the AC compressor has a fused circut feeding it along with a low pressure cut out switch and a high pressure so it is the same as keeping the thermostat down to 60 and calling until I break jumper with the switch thanks for responding
hi great work I am considering replacing that module .the blower has been behaving temperamental , I think it may be this part . the climate control is calling correctly but the blower is not always engaging ,
I’ve always figured it had 100,000 on it since the odometer just rolled over and from what I was told it was in very good condition until just a year or two before I bought it, then it got trashed. But you are a genius and entirely correct, I forgot these thinks rely so much on vacuum. It all makes sense now! haha, thanks for the comment!
Considering all the parts you’ve replaced on this car, it probably has 250,000+ miles on it. That vacuum pump on your engine is crucial to ensure all vacuum related accessories-(including the auto climate control)-work correctly. That’s why when you started the engine, everything started working correctly. Good luck with this car and feel fortunate it even runs considering you paid $600 for it.
the auto climate control on the caddys suck. they work in the defrost setting first then the sensor in the dash lets the rest of the functions work only when it gets to a certain temp inside, so its defrost before anything. i bypassed mine

Most likely it is this part. My brothers ’84 Eldorado had issues with it as well.

I saw that, thanks!
i uploaded a video on how to completely bypass this stuff, your climate control works the same as my Cadillac.
I also forgot they are vacuum actuated so the engine has to be running to work correctly…

As of right now, yes.
Hmmm, old school music in your old school Caddy?
So are you going to sell this car or keep it?
