Vapers Win says:

The old one was stuck open. Causing your car not to warm up and blow good
heat in the winter. Also makes fuel mileage suffer a bit.

It’s good. I towed to a local place and had it fixed. I learned the hard
way. I don’t think I was able to find any videos about how to do it. I had
the Haynes repair guide but that wasn’t to helpful. I learned for the next
time. This was in 2009.

Inspectorxr5 says:

I had the worst time with my thermostat. The epitome of “on the job
training”. I thought I had gotten the wrong size. So I went back to
Autozone and got another. Then went to Advanced Auto to see if they could
fix my problem. It ended up that I hadn’t fully cleaned off the housing and
that was preventing me from putting it back on. I had to get it towed to a
shop near my house. I was pissed. Thankfully I was off from work the next
day. Good times.
