ThePearsch says:

slightly different problem… ’01 Regal, auto headlights On, Radio and dash lights Off, every time. Manual headlights off, dash and radio lights back On. Any ideas? Thanks.

Dakota Wallender says:

All 8 Resistors fell off the board when i removed it 😛

Dakota Wallender says:

Put in youtube Regal dash remove, it takes about 5 minutes to remove it.

Paige Harris says:

From this, I didn’t get how I would remove the part where the odometer is. What tools do I need for that?

Chris Yucus says:

Thank you very much for taking the time to help other people with this problem.

vinie pooh says:

one of my resistors are missing completely from HVAC, can i get those or replacement type from RadioC, and which once will i need?

kegler3000 says:

It’s a JOB disassembling the console, but CCP is OK now. I “re-soldered” the old resistors… couldn’t find new ones on net. I have some CONSOLE DIAGRAMS if you want them … KEGLER300@SC.RR.COM … good luck.

Mary Miller says:

I also am having problems with my ‘trac off’ light staying on, along with the ABS light. I made the repairs on my dash for the odometer and driver information center and they worked great! Getting ready to tackle the repair on the Climate Control Panel as well. Please let me know if you have found out a fix regarding the “trac off” light and the “ABS” light staying on. I hate driving without my trac on. Thanks!

Mary Miller says:

Wondering if you havone tackled the Climate Control Panel…. I made the repairs on my odomoeter and driver information center. From what I have read and researched it is a pretty time consuming job removing the Climate Control Panel. Which, would be worth it if this fixes it. Also, if you have made this repair, did you just resolder, or replace resistors? Getting ready to start taking my console apart. Any suggestions appreciated.

julius923 says:

Thanks for the post. Just a warning. Be careful not to try and pick off excess solder from the board as this may lift the contact plates from the board. Only use the solder braid as suggested. I think the plates are glued on. My odometer works, but it is dim.

myblah222 says:

Thanks for this. Did the repair on my wife’s ’02 LS today — well I hired somebody to handle the soldering for me — and it worked great. Total cost: $4 for the resistors plus $15 for the soldering plus about two hours to take it apart, run the parts over to the solder guy, and put it back together. Good stuff.

kegler3000 says:

Many thanks … did DASH last week, now gonna’ tackle the CLIMATE CONTROL.
ALL DIGITAL LIGHTS were out on ’99 Regal LS … Hear it’s a common problem.
If you got any more help videos, they will be WELCOME … THANKS AGAIN

popcorn69nat says:

Sorry, but I do not have any experience with that problem, it sounds like it may be a bad calipher or an abs module because it is isolated to your front right brake.

2007deadeye1 says:

hey man Im having that same problem with my 97.5 buick GS and im still trying to figure out where my problem is.When i get pissed at it and just start driving it makes my front right brake stick and then after a mile or two you can fill it release.Still thats not good for it. if you find out anything hit me on my video page.thanks

ScarredTemple says:

All of my lights are out on the dash of my 99 regal, but none of my gauges work either (odometer, rpm and gas). Will this fix that also?

Nicholas Valliere says:

My ’01 regal heater/ac only works on high, which I expect to be due to the same resistors you circled in this video. Do they need to be replaced or just re-soldered? (it says re-solder them but I may replace them anyway) and do you know what the type of resistors needed for the heater? Thanks for this video and all your help!!

popcorn69nat says:

You are the greatest, my car finally passed the safety inspection. Have you had a problem with the abs, brake, and trac off light staying on as soon as you put the transm in drive and the lights come on after you drive a couple of feet and they go off when you turn the ignition off? If so can you share your fix. Thanks

drimi89 says:

THANK YOU!
I did this last year only I just re-soldered what was already there, it over heated and went out again a couple months ago. I’m going to try this, I was just trying to figure out what ohm resister I needed. You rock!

to0iman says:

I got everything from Radio Shack

phatdre5 says:

man i’ve been lookn for a ash now i dont have to thanks to u buddie but were do you buy the parts at…..

fishandgameman says:

I can’t believe it worked, but it did. Never thought I could do something like this. My heater control had been replaced by the dealer under extended warranty, and mine looks different inside, but I did see where this flat thing that says 100 on it burned off the board. Who knows? Great video!

to0iman says:

I am very glad this helped you solve your problem

steve1quick6 says:

Thanks very much for posting this. I was able to fix my odometer/gear indicator in just a few minutes after watching this video. All four factory resistors fell off the board with the slightest touch. After soldering in new ones, my wife is happy once again!

to0iman says:

yes desolder before replacing it will give it a good clean surface for the new solder to stick to

Vinicius Marques says:

Great Video.. im just confused , do u got to desoldering before replacing the resistors right?
