There is a solenoid in the steering column, which allows the key to be pulled out that weekends overtime. As a result, it gets stuck in the accessory position. There are two ways to release your key 1. going up through the hole underneath with a flat blade screwdriver to release or 2. this trick that I figured out to do with a stiff wire. Very easy to do and you’ll never have the problem again of having your key stuck.
