You have to be a car body man to replace a headlight asembly . What happen to GM . In early 2000s buick you needed no tools to remove a century headlight assembly.

Getting ready to buy a 2017 LaCrosse this is a very useful video thank you much for taking the time and trouble to show use how it's done. Now I know who to contact if I have any questions.

Good video, question does all this need to be done to replace the oem hid bulbs?

@jtmunny5619 says:

My 2017 Buick Lacrosse is on its 4th headlamp and I'm on my 3rd time doing this job. These lamps will short and kill the daytime running lights on the front and rear at the same time, which cannot be fixed only replaced. This has been the only major issue over 274,000 miles but dang this is a headache.

@chrisgleason89 says:

Is there any chance that anyone knows about the HID bulb and if the black part of the HID that holds it into the housing is possibly removable?

excellent, concise, informative how-to video start-to-finish. Mentioning which tools will be needed is helpful and timesaving too.
Here's what I am going to use in my TOOL LIST – wrenches, ratcheting wrenches and sockets for 7mm and 10mm bolts, T15 Torx, screwdriver set, battery-powered electric wrench, trim clip tool plus spare clips just in case. I'm fortunate I have all these tools already from working on my truck and wife's car. I'm fixing to help out my BIL fix his Lacrosse and this video will make it much easier for me. Thanks, T&J!

Just did this to a 2018 envision. Just about the same except it had a plastic trim around the fender that had to be pryed loose.(I watched your video before doing. THANKS)

Thanks …. Excellent video. Thinking about replacing my wife's … I put a new ballast in because the headlight would go out and come back on and now the headlight has a mind of its own …. One morning it works and next morning it don't. Did you have to do any programing/reset codes after the light was installed?

@johnkinley3528 says:

They sure have made changing a head lamp a lot more complicated since the 1970’s.
