Thank you for watching our 2011-2013 Buick LaCrosse front bumper cover replacement video. This is the second video for this vehicle. We also changed the fender and the fender liner. We’ll link it at the end of the video. This customer bought this car from a small dealership with the existing damage. This car had previous work done on the fenders, grille, hood, and bumper. They did a pretty bad job. They used Bondo on the fenders instead of replacing them, they also use wood screws for the bumper bracket and top grille. Needless, to say, there was a lot of work to do. We replaced both parts with our ReveMoto painted auto parts. So, let’s get started on your bumper replacement.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a T20 Torx bit with a socket wrench or impact gun. The gun will be much quicker! You will also need a panel clip removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver for the plastic clips.

PROCESS:
There is one cover on the top bumper that needs to be removed. The cover is held on by plastic clips and the top bumper is held on by 4 Torx bits. We then proceeded to remove the side bumper bolts. They are Torx bolts and a 10mm bolt that connects the bumper to the fender. You can remove the wheel to get better access to the bolts, or you can just twist your tire for more space. We like to do less work, so we just twisted the tire. Be sure to do this on both sides. We didn’t show the passenger side to keep the video shorter. There is definitely enough space underneath the car, so lifting it up is not completely necessary. There are 3 clips that connect the fender liner to the bumper that need to be removed. There are also plastic clips in the middle of the lower bumper. We didn’t show this because it’s the same process as the ends of the bumper. Remove the clips to take off the bumper. Before you dismount the bumper, be sure to disconnect the fog lights or gently take the bumper off as to not pull the foglight cords.

Now you can begin with the installation process. This is probably the easiest thing to do, especially since everything should be fresh in your mind. Transfer over any of the bumper components that you can. Replace any parts with new ones if possible. You only have to install the upper & lower grille, as well as the fog lights, fog light bezels, and the small metal u-clips. Once you have all the accessories installed you can mount the bumper. This is easier with a friend but it’s completely doable solo. Position the bumper in the middle and clip it under the headlights. Fasten or hand tighten the top bolts just to keep the bumper in place. You can now begin to secure the bumper with all the bolts and clips. Congratulations you are all done!

William Callahan says:

Can the grille be removed without removing the bumper(2014 LaCrosse) ? Took some of it apart today but ended up putting it back together as it seemed like a bonded structure. Need to work behind the grille to add a tranny cooler, dont want to remove the whole bumper.

Austin Gritton says:

Is this about the same for a 2015 Buick Verno? I need to replace the grille. Which means removing the bumper I believe

Tracy Beal says:

Do you have to have the grills to put the front replacement on?

Elijah Winchester says:

Now just need rear bumper

CARLOS CUEVAS says:
