That’s ok i already got it done.very simple.it took about 20 minutes but thanks.

Scott Trunkhill says:

I’m not sure. You can always take out the dash and see if it looks the same.

Brian Jones says:

Hey Scott.how ya doing man?ok i got a 1998 chevy 1500.I have red light bulbs to go into the dash.Is this going to be identical to this video?

Scott Trunkhill says:

Follow the link in the description. That page has link to bulbs.

Where can I buy those bulbs?

Joey Roberto says:

Thanks!!

Scott Trunkhill says:

I have had mine out about five times and didn’t have any issues.

Joey Roberto says:

Question. I plan on replacing the bulbs myself. When at the dealer today, I was told that if I disconnected the cluster from the truck, I would have to bring it in to the dealer afterwards to get the cluster “re-programmed” for $100, or nothing would work. Is this true? I haven’t seen anything in your video or any others about having to get it reprogrammed. Thanks in advance for your help!!

rdc0919 says:

Thanks for the video as the instructions worked great. I would have never attempted this repair myself without it!

If you wanted too, could you take a Blue or Red LED and Change it so it’s a different color?

SACKAlaskan says:

I can’t figure out how to take off the front plastic….of course its the only part of the video skipped…. there is two clips on the bottom. That I cannot get off…. help?

Bill Stout says:

I looked everywhere and the only place I found the bulbs were at a place called Batteries Plus. The bulb# is a 2174. The dealer will gladly sell a complete gauge cluster for $395.00. Don’t try an auto parts store. They won’t list those bulbs.

Movieman30002 says:

what kind of bulbs do I need, I cant find one with out the wedge, do I cut those off or are there a certain kind?

SuperWmunoz says:

Great video. Now one more question. My indicator lights (PRND123) is out most of the time but sometimes is on dim and then other times bright. Any idea what that could be?

LawnOcean says:

Great video!!! I replaced a few bulbs on my Rendezvous that were out. How do you replace the bulbs behind the odometer and PRNDL display? To get to these bulbs, it appears that you have to simultaneously unsolder the LED panel at the MANY solder points.

modeyus1984 says:

I also forgot to mention polarity for LEDs, they only go one way. So it’s always a good idea to solder one on and plug it in to your vehicle to make sure it’s lit. If it doesn’t light up then un solder it and turn it around. Don’t solder everything on without testing or it will be a hassle to do it all over again.
Once you have one on there you use a 9v battery or a 12v power supply and a set of jumpers to run power to your board. That way you don’t have to be testing it in your vehicle for ea

modeyus1984 says:

Great video, very helpful.
To all of you looking to convert these over to LED the bulb size would be a t3. Now they are very expensive but there are alternative ways. You can use a 3mm or a 5mm super bright led. Also solder on a 1/4 watt .510 ohm resistor to each one. You can’t solder them straight on there because the 12v will burn them out. I didn’t use the same bulb housing as it made it easier to solder the legs straight on. You can also use a t5 smd but because that’s a directional bulb it

Is there a LED in blue that will fit in this application? My 04 Silverado is exactly this type. What is the part number for this bulb as well.

D-rek Robles says:

Are these T5 mini wedge bulbs?
