For all the mechanics in here….working on one now and just replaced valve pan cover and now leaking out the vacuum pump gasket But why is it pushing oil up out the top bad converter? The manifold looks yellow like it’s been hot maybe trying to fix the root cause here. Any tips are appreciated

Juanita Snow says:

Cpt. Colton says:

I speak for all Saab drivers when I say, thank you for explaining man

Joseph picard says:

I'm wondering is there supposed to be oil in the vaccum pump for it leak in the first place?

Kelsey Wooten says:

Was you smelling oil in the car from it leaking on exhaust

2283maxo says:

Thanks for this video, really helped.

Nova King says:

Did you have to torque the bolts to the vacuum pump if so, how many pounds? Dont want to over do it

Paul Ellis says:

If the vacuum pump to cylinder head seal isn't totally shot, or you don't have easy access to a new seal set, a very thin bead of anaerobic sealer (Loctite 518 or similar–don't use RTV!) on the vacuum pump gasket and/or the seal for the pump guts will also re-seal the vacuum pump to the head and get you by a long time. An alternate OE source for this gasket set: https://www.esaabparts.com/saab/parts/93201100 . If you need just the gasket between head and pump, the Saab part number is 55561100.
