In this video I finish building a BMW e46 M54 backup engine for @ChrisFix
I tried really hard to squeeze as much information as I could without making the video 2 hours long. I hope you enjoy it!!

I feel like you injector clip dirt shamed me. I'm human too you know.
Another fun tip for studs is to buy N54 exhaust studs, they work for all M5x engines and have little e-torx ends on them which makes installing them a total breeze.
I like videos like this where they get straight to point n don't waste no time, good info!
I have an 05 325i bmw with 180,000 miles it's running great its in California I drove here in December from Florida but now I already want to go back to Florida,
Wait, why would this need a harmonic balancer? Aren't i6s naturally balanced?
Nice work! I almost want a BMW.
At 36:22 … A is for auslass wich means exhaust and E stands for einlass wich means intake.
Why does Chris Fix not show his mug piece?
i don’t know if you caught this already or not but (at 36:25) for the cam caps E is for Intake and A is for exhaust.
So basically every single part on this engine is prone to failure.
I love all the handy tools he has like the spinning the wire tool to keep the nut from backing off the fuel pump sprocket
rear main seal gasket was on backwards! did you catch that and flip it back around??
