this part is really stupid, its very easy to fail, as if its was meant to fail just so you had to take it to the dealer and make money out of you. its basically a MacDonald straw. its so stupid.

The vid is spot on,…my 2010 535xi had the exact same issue on a road trip from VA to Florida. It happened the very next day after arriving at our destination! I simply replaced with a piece of brake line tubing of same diameter! Worked perfectly! Shame on BMW for such weak @ss link in the cooling system!
