As part of the yearly service on the BMW R1100 you need to do a valve check and possible adjustment, as its a boxer this is a simple home job and today I tried it for the first time. Over all an easy job only needing a few tools and none of those tools are really custom unless you want an easier life which I did.
Tools:
Feeler Gauges (0.15mm, 0.3mm),
Hex keys,
10mm spanner,
Spark plug removal tool (optional)
Settings:
Spark plugs 20nm
Valve Adjuster lock nut 8nm
Intake 0.15mm
Exhaust 0.3mm
