Mine is blowing smoke intermittently, sometimes a lot sometimes none at all, local garage said he can replace the turbo but this may not be the issue. Just wondering if this may be the issue or at least worth a check before committing to turbo replacement

Did it consume more gas? I have a 328i and consume more, already wash oxygen sensors, injectors, service, check spark plugs and stay the same
I have N63 engine, i couldn't find this part.
Was it blowing smoke from the exhaust?
