I did however ad miniature air filters on my aftermarket charge pipe and a hks vacuum BOV ……I'm now running a small mix of e85 and I can't stress enough these cars are insane, the intercooler swap is MAJOR I have an intake temp gauge and with my 5" ducted sealed cooler o all that air Rams in I get roughly 10deg c above ambient after hard driving if I did this before on stock I would do 1 hard pull and it would just keep soaking exponentially until it was 2.5times ambient which is just like park and don't boost its a really really important part I think and I must confess I got a cheap eBay one to experiment but it has worked so well I just kept it, I'm in hot part of AUS too so if your on a budget I'd consider the eBay copy , I may be in the minority/lucky though but it's mad gains never heat soaks it's like it's not able, if u want your engine to ever cool down more and the cooler cause mine is sealed meaning it will suck outside air into intercooler then radiator turn your aircon on for a few minutes and watch the temp drop dramatically

I took my car oil change and they didn’t do anything bad today I was watching it I didn’t need a oil change for a little bit over but then after now I get a light on and he makes me run at a lower speed he only comes on when I stop at a stop sign or a light if I turn it in on and off it comes off sometimes it comes on faster comes back on faster

BMW Fanatic is it possible that other codes are causing the misfire? I have along with the P0301 (cyl 1 misfire) the following codes P0174 (System too Lean Bank 2) can that be causing the P0301 code? What about P0171 ( System too Lean Bank 1) can that also be contributing to the PO301 code. Both P0171 and P0174 seem to indicate a fuel issue that may be translating into the addition of P0301 popping up. I have a total of 6 codes right now that i need to clear to get an E check passed. The other two codes are P0155 (o2 Sensor Hearter Cercuit bank 2, sensor 1) and 0151 (O2 sensor Circuit low, bank 2, sensor 1), P0442 (Evaporating Emission, small leak detected). I just replaced my spark plugs with new spark plugs and the pcv and ccv and all those tubes and stuff, including the tube to the oil dipstic. The Disa valve gasket was replaced and cleaned as well as the Mass Air sensor. So i don't know why i am getting all these codes. Any suggestions BMW Fanatic would go along way with me. Thanks man.

Mys po305 on E46 had crack coil pack flip it out replace it next day same code went change it next day same code .. went bought 6 spark plugs next day same code again soo since I have hookup pickup 6 Oem injector swap them next day same code at cold startup and I went bought all new o2 sensor swap them and again same fucking Code .. I order brand new coil plug harness and and swap it and again same code po305 … I don’t know wtf it could be always at cold startup never after its warm or been running for hours .. only overNite startups.

Would a bad cool cause a fuel injectors misfire, I just replaced my injectors but still getting engine malfunction light due to injector #3

Thanks! I currently have a 1999 BMW 328i, but I’m going to buy this generation of BMW this May. I may just do a complete tuneup on it when I get it. I love BMWs, because they are extremely easy to work on and well engineered. The placement of parts are very well thought out. Well, except for my vehicle replacing the starter was not fun as it was in a extremely difficult area. Other than that, it’s a very easy car to work on.

Error code 29d2 just showed up today its misfire on cyl 6 ,hardest to get to..,regardless of if its the coil/injector/or plug ,i love my e92 but certain things are a ballache to do

Change all six plugs and coils when you have think about just one.
Rigs at 80k plus with no change should be changed regardless of misfire or not.

I change coils and plugs every 60k no matter what.
3k oil changes. 10k brake bleeds. 75k transmission service.
35k differential service.

My car has always been reliable AF!

heres another scenario you left out…….after your vehicle reaches operating temperature it develops a gradually increasing misfire that starts with one cylinder and slowly progresses to 2 cylinders ….hmmmm……and No it's not the HPFP…..cause that would affect all the cylinders……..so what could it be?…..the car only displays misfire codes , p0300 , p0306 , p0302 , all coils are properly functioning , spark plugs are new , hmmm……this is a tricky one you won't find using google.
