►Driveshafts have several components that will all wear over time. Some can last forever, while those in BMWs will eventually need replacing. In the E46’s case, the center support bearing is usually the first piece to go, leaving you with clunks and bangs as you drive along. If left long enough, the drive shaft can break and damage the car’s underside.
