Does the aux/usb in the center console still work? I have a 07 E93 with just the aux, can I upgrade that to aux/usb?

Why did you choose E89 instead E90 ?
Great retrofit! You Should upgrade the cic's old hard drive to an SSD to make it a lot quicker as well as quicker boot ups

Why didn't you upgrade to one of those Android head units that allow the original BMW software and a whole new system? That would be much better :/
My question is what steps are needed to unlock the satellite radio? Mine has the codes for the prep as I discovered during my VIN decoding. Right now I’m utilizing an aftermarket setup through the auxiliary. I figured if I pull the plug to do something like this, I would want to have it all through the head unit.

One of the first things that I did with mine after accidentally scratching the CID with a microfiber .. I installed a a anti glare screen protector from Amazon.. it’s been 4 years now and was the best move. The anti glare coating on the CID is very delicate and will scratch just by looking at it.
Please note: You will need a Combox for BMW Apps and BT audio. You can however load up music on a flash drive with the included glove box USB port.
What a great DIY, even to people who do not end up purchasing my kit. If you are creating your own kit at home here is how you can code a CIC with an emulator. Make sure you are using an updated BMW standard tools install like the BimmerGeeks BMW standard tools package. Under the "factory coding" profile delete your build date "#XXXX" and add in #0311, $6VA and $697 (US and Canada only) to the VO. Do not write the VO to the CAS or FRM; Just run a factory code to the CIC and CID.
