jslike5382 says:

May want to get a wire wheel out and beat down some of that rust that is starting to collect around that rear subframe before it’s settling in deep – and spray some undercoating or something to add a level of protection against those northern winters. Maybe also spray some penetrant spray on those underbody bolts every so often to help the same care. Wouldn’t be a bad video to bring awareness to others dealing with northern winters to keep the cars in good shape!

No revs made the video?

Hi Lee – I have a 2008 135 and love your n54 videos and mods. Just out of interest, have you ever had your auto transmission serviced / fluid changed in the time you have owned your car? Seems like a major, and very expensive, maintenance item so am interested in your views on when it is required.

Lil Dee says:

have at 2004 bmw 545i. I was driving on the freeway on Thursday and there was a bunch of large wooden blocks on the freeway (unavoidable) on Saturday morning I noticed a leak of oil in the front. On Sunday after driving the car twice and parking back home I waited a couple of hours then went outside to leave when everything but the engine started. The radio, air conditioning everything worked. I put more oil in the car because there was barely any, waited about 45 minutes then tried to start the car, still nothing. This morning I went outside to try to start it & it worked. However the car was kind of louder than usual and sounded like it was trying to turn off so I kept pushing the gas to keep the idle up. I let it run on its own for about 5minutes when it started to struggle again and I turned it off. Does anyone have any idea of what might be causing this problem? My mechanic isn’t able to fit me in today
