Nice work, though would like to see repair in full sun. In my limited experience doing this, the clear coat may be the hardest thing to perfect. End up with the 'orange peel finish' oftentimes. Part of my problem was undoubtedly doing this application outside. The sanding/wet sanding may be a close second trying to avoid making the damaged area larger or oversanding. Also, I would advise against doing this work in an attached garage, as intense odor/vapors will get into your living space undoubtedly.

Did you spray the base paint and clear coat over the entire panel or just the repaired area?
When blending the base coat, isn't the new paint going to add a new layer on top of the old clear coat? I tried blending an area on my hood to repair flaking paint but I cannot blend the new paint without spraying on top of the old clear coat. The new paint is very noticeable and it comes off easily when buffing. Should I apply the new clear coat on top of the old clear coat to blend for the entire panel or just the repaired area?
may i know how much you charge for this ?
Short and sweet.Great vid.
Tree dollar fix for a tirty tousand pound car.
did not explain how to fade the clear coat so no edge is shown or if the clear has been buffed?
How much for all spray cans including sanding papers with other things? How much time it took start to finish?
A repair like this will cost me 150$ Canadian dollars in professional Car Body shop and if you spend less then 150 let me know.
150$ CAD is about 124$ USD
Wish you lived near me. Lol
Why putting filler when you could simply flat the scratches with da sander using 400 or 500 grid and only putting a couple of light coats of primer .
Wow Amazing
Very good video!
Never put a turd coat, you'll ruin the final finish and it'll smell bad
Excellent vids
Wow, excellent job.
Does it make a difference where your painting like hood or bumper still use the same sandpaper grit and techniques?
Great video. Can I spray the clear coat to the small area (sanded filler area) instead of the whole wider area?
