Welcome fellow S3 fanatics, it’s Peter, your Audi S3 Fanatic! Ever since I took delivery of my S3, I have wanted to accent it with some carbon fiber. I started with a CF rear diffuser and recently took delivery of CF mirror caps. Both my rear diffuser and mirror caps were purchased from China.
Yes, you take a gamble buying parts made in China but IMHO, several products sold by US venders for our S3, are Chinese made. With the good luck I had for my rear diffuser, I thought, why not take another chance on the mirror caps. These are with side assist.

Can someone tell me the size and length of the bolt/screw that in the centre that keeps the motor in?

Hi Peter, my 2016 S3 has auto fold mirrors. Can I still push the whole housing back to get proper access. Probably not shown on your video, but I have seen others push it back slightly.
Anyone know the part number to the drivers side assist sensor I broke the tab and can’t find new one online anywhere ughhh

easiest way is to pry it out from the top, its just clips that holds the top cover

I found the easiest way to remove my mirror cap was to misjudge the gap between my car and an oncoming vehicle!
Should I get the mirror caps and spoiler from the same place? Does that matter? Any comment on Monaco in CA? Thx
Thanks for the DIY. My RS3 has an additional wire on the back of the mirror opposite side to the two in your S3. I think it’s the side assist but left the mirror there hanging!
