How to Install Race Suspension on Your Car: AUDI R8

How to Install Race Suspension on Your Car: AUDI R8

This is the step by step guide of what it takes to install JRZ RS Pro’s on a 2009 Audi R8. We removed the original magnetic ride because the shocks were leaking badly and the JRZ’s are cheaper and more reliable than stock OEM parts. We also painted the calipers is pearl red, changed the oil, and aligned the R8 before my trip home. This process was crazy fun to film, hope you enjoy the video! -L

Awesome video Larry. Its so nice to see you achieve your dreams for working so hard. You have such a great way of telling a story.

D Walker says:

Nice to see a fellow Audi owner. I got my S5 2 years ago and LOVE it. I do all maintenance myself and have learned a ton about Audi and their do's and don'ts… great video!!

Integrafreak1 says:

Bag it next

supradjza80 says:

Surprised the external rear reservoirs were mounted so close to the engine and manifolds. Heat is the enemy of dampers.

Dan Townhill says:

How long did all this take?

Alfonso Ross says:

Awesome suspension job on your R8! They did a fantastic job making it all come together!

WN8OverR9000 says:

Pretty sure that most european cars have bolts, as I have never seen anything else and I'm from.europe

Mayur Huria says:

Sorry for nitpicking but maybe a grommet on the line that is going in the trunk make it look even more oemish.. jR

AK Distributors says:

Umm did anyone else notice how black that motor oil was?!

RyuMoto says:

Larry, I love this damper. I used this series for years in the NSX. but… why did you guys opt not to corner balance the car?

Stigs722 says:

Enjoy larry. Looks great!

Jason Langevin says:

V8 r8 is nice , but u def need the v10

scroonie 1976 says:

Wow…very pricey but very nice!

Brandon Norbert says:

Hey man, congrats on getting ur dream car and what you've done with it. Yea I noticed audi, Benz, mini all use bolts.. It does become a pain to do a tire change roadside if d wheels are heavy like on the SUV's. I'm not an expert on the R8, but was wondering if you could do a bolt to lug nut conversion.. It would be a good choice if u track d car often

Ibrahim Hafeez says:

I'm getting crazy…
I want your all crew members…they are fucking so caring your car…love it man…
I truly dreamed about this type of service to be done with my car…
So much nice hands on car…

Simeon Chernogorski says:

I am seriously amused that an oil of that tier is used in your R8.

Paolo Gallo says:

I'm speechless Larry, amazing as usual!

Guillermo Ulloa Godoy says:

Love the car, love the work but men I definitively hate the color, white, black or even red looks sick on a R8!

Casa Tequila SF says:

Considering all the engineering this car had put on by Audi, I would much prefer to keep it as stock as possible and not to injure any profanity

Jonathan Forno says:

9:30, was it not possible to detach the hose and pass through a hole to then reattach instead of cutting the whole piece out?

obieoberstar says:

I work on R8's. There is nothing simple about an oil change. It is not a 4 cylinder A4. Glad you went into the details about checking the oil level and how to correctly check it. All were spot on. Would like to add that the drain plug at the rear of the engine near the cross member is a difficult one to get out without the special 8mm triple square tool that Audi offers. Really like your ride. Tastefully done.
