There's a synthetic lucas oil stabilizer. I get it at O'reilly's
ive been using mannoll 5w40 ester oil and since then gone over 600milles and no change on the oil level, still on maximum and I've been ragging it
Have you done your timing chain ? My 12 a5 chain was stretched.
Why you don't use 5w30 because this is recommended by Audi

how much LUCAS do i need when im doing an oil change? and do i just put it in after filling oil?
My 2012 A4 failed the oil consumption test. My car started consuming oil at around 45k. The dealer agreed to pay 50% of the cost for valves, pistons and timing chain. Motor rebuild was done 5k miles ago, it currently has 60k miles. Problem seems to have been addressed.

My oil consumption is bad my last oil change i used lucas oil n tbh there wasn’t any change in my oil consumption idk if it was bcuz i used 0w40 but i had to add oil the very next wk. Every wk im adding oil man its crazy. But my next oil change is in about 800 miles ima use thicker oil and add the lucas oil to check to see if it remedies or slows down the consumption but its like when i do pulls there goes my oil.
I tried everything to slow down the oil burning. Replaced turbo, valve guides and PCV, still burning. Went from 1 quart every 300 miles to 600 miles a quart. If your car burns 1 quart every 300 miles nothing will help except a engine rebuild.
Ive been uses Lucas for 3 years now, and I'm 145,000 miles now, dose not even feel like I have any oil consumption issues. I feel like this is the only one that doesn't make your oil to thick, great right up
