Interesting video! Thank you for all the content! I've got a current issue with a P0456 on a 2019 Audi TT RS, which has the capless tank fill port, I've taken it to the dealer to let them handle it since it under warranty. I'll update the cause of failure when they find it. What is interesting is they have smoke checked it and it passed. They are contacting Audi mothership for direction at this point.

Tailpipe is all black sooted like an older diesel. Why,?when we have another car same mileage and pipes look brand new. It has always passed the emission test.
Does the 2008 TT 2.0L have a purge valve. Location?

Was your fluke meter connected to the amp clamp? Also, if the leak was very small why was the purge valve seeming to b wide open. Enjoyed the video. Keith is everywhere. That’s a good thing. Someone was messing with on the smoke oil hurting the canister. Perhaps the oil vapors from your hoist emanated, osmosised over there to.
Great video as always. The shop I work at is the same way on euro cars, they turn them away. Luckily we're busy enough without them.

Btw you said small evap leak code, wouldn't a stuck open purge give a medium or large leak.. ?
Vw systems are very easy to diagnose if you can bi-directionally control the evap system the way we do in in the dealer is run the evap system if it fails then we know there is a problem obviously we run the test the second time and block off the hose going to the purge if it will pass this time purge is bad
The matco Maximus can control both purge and LDP and you can see the values on system
With the Snapon scanner; possibly you can activate the EVAP in Mode 6 or Expert mode?
