I’m not hating or something but I think you should’ve go with the C63 AMG
Coupe
it’s an automatic, you can put 2 more people in the back seat & it sounds
great stock.
thats lots of problems for brend new car.

The R8 is a great car but you must of bought a bad one.
I don’t know why everybody’s hatin’ so much. So you burned up a clutch. No
big deal. It happens, ya know? Doesn’t matter if you have a
high-performance Audi or a tiny little B16-equipped Honduh – – at some
point after mods, a clutch is gonna go out.
Now’s a perfect time to upgrade, man!!
If I lived on that side of the pond I’d come help ya swap it!

You’re coming to Portugal? Where are you going to be and are you going to
bring your R8? I’m a big fan of yours mate!
I can understand the anxiousness and passion for the owner to finally own
and drive something special, but he may have lost his head and failed to do
the proper research regarding the history of the car. I think going Germany
in this specific performance realm is a mistake for anyone that is not
rich. With limited financial resources more akin to blue collar I would opt
for a second hand GTR. While not as “exotic” it yields the best performance
to cost ratio [even with cost not factored] and while maintenance like
transmission service can be costly [ 2,000 every 18k miles] it’s far less
money than these goddamn German money suckers will eventually pull out of
you….maybe it won’t cost an arm and leg for the part and the owner will
get to enjoy the car….for a little while at least until the next example
of “$uperior” German engineering rears it’s nasty little head out of a
hole.

Cut the guy some slack. He bought a car he wanted and liked, it’s
heartbreaking for something you worked hard for not to work correctly. Who
cares if it’s a 2008 or 2014, he should be able to enjoy his purchase. Hey

Too many fast/vigorous get away’s from the lights! Shouldn’t drive it rough
if you don’t want the problems ahaha, expensive car expensive parts! Should
of got something more modest like a M3 or 6.3 AMG Mercedes C class
Told it, man audi r8 is a bit of a rubbish, it have no comparation to gtr
or gallardo super trofeo or 458 italia :c
Sorry to here about the R8 BUT, I saw the litchfield gtr from the good wood
video in Canterbury after passing my theory… THE DOWNSHIFTS ARE AMAZING!

I also own an Audi R8 Coupe 2008 model; second-hand. The clutch hasn’t been
burned up yet, nor have I experienced any sort of clutch issues as of yet.
