where is the location of the fuel pump and filter?

Aaron Simm says:

Alright it’s fixed! Thank you this video helped me so much! Good looks!

Peter Galle says:

In my case yes. Chances are, if you have the same noise and have an old
fuel filter, you’re in the same boat as me.

Peter Galle says:

Passenger side. The time it took you to post this you could have opened up
both.

Aaron Simm says:

so that noise is from a bad fuel filter????

pistolsforpandas says:

Oh wow, that’s exactly the sound my car is making. I’ll have to go replace
that shit stat. Thanks!

kjs89 says:

@peterboats i did the exact opposite. replaced the fuel filter (rediculous
$67 part) and immediately my fuel pump started making horrible noises just
like this one, then last week my car completely died. it may or may not be
another sensor, but either way i’ve been meaning to change the fuel pump
out.

Ee Wiley says:

did it throw a code p0300 or p0171??

Peter Galle says:

@kjs89 Yeah I did. At the time, I wanted to knock out the hardest part of
this DIY. I wasn’t thinking to just replace the filter first to see if the
noise went away.

mniko89 says:

ok i found it. i asked 2 mechanics how much they would charge to replace
it, one said 75 the other 45… bogus!

kjs89 says:

wait. you replaced the fuel pump before you replaced the fuel filter?

Peter Galle says:

Pump is under the back seat inside the car. Filter is under the car
(outside) under the rear passenger seat area.

Ee Wiley says:

and where did you buy the new fuel pump i want to know where can i get it
cheaper than the dealer? thanks

Flako says:

it took me awhile to find where the noise was coming from…the noise was
really bad in the winter. then yesterday it dead during traffic. thanks to
the vid I understand why and now working on it. replacing both filter and
pump.
