I didn’t realize these were such a pain to do. Although I have no major
objection to design of peripherals like this with plastic, designing it so
that you can easily drop broken bits into the pan is a real flaw. I
couldn’t see the connection at the engine. Is the metal engine connection
female? Does the plastic tube have a male hollow end with a lip on the edge
that catches inside the engine? If they had designed the tube to have a
female end, plastic bits would fall to the ground…. I wonder why they
didn’t just design it as a threaded connection, so you could just spin it
off.
As you were working on this Thomas, I was thinking to myself what a pain in
the ass to replace. That has got to be one of the dumbest engineering that
I’ve seen. Nice video and having the other video showing the dipstick
holder sure does help out. Thanks for posting….
Thorough.
Hey I was wondering if you have seen the tsb on 2.0 tsi chain tensioner.
Really worried 2009 tiguan and don’t want blown engine. Any help
appreciated.
Anybody else notice the oil cap was upside down? I know it works both ways,
but it’s my minor ocd kicking in, lol.
Thanks I will do that
