Question: Where is the best place to buy a front bumper? I can’t seem to find any at the junk-yard and a new one is unnecessarily expensive. Any thoughts?

Craig Sweeney says:

Great video. I have an Audi A4 Quattro. Yest my air conditioner started blowing hot air. Where is the first place I should look. Is there a relay that I can replace first?

RSpi007 says:

My guess would be relay. Audi’s and VW’s are known for bad relays.

Thanks. How about this. My 2001 A6 Sunroof operates only when the outside temp is above 80 degrees. A switch maybe???

RSpi007 says:

You are welcome.

Peacho03 says:

Great video. Thanks.

francesco defrancesco says:

Thanks for your quick reply! Just today it started working again (weird, right?!?)

I don’t know what happened, or if it will happen again, but thanks for your suggestion!

RSpi007 says:

You likely have a problem with either a vacuum or blend door lever broken in the dash. It’s stopping the flap from opening and letting the cool air into those vents.

francesco defrancesco says:

Thanks, great video! I also have the same car, and only the left half (the driver half) of the car blows super cold, but the other half (passenger half) of the car only blows hot. Any thoughts as to why this could be?

Thanks

RSpi007 says:

Good. Thanks for watching.

thanks man that helped me

Abhinav Shriram Gurumurthy says:

thanks .. the mecahnic suspects its a leak or a broken hose .. gotta figure them out .. I dint think in the above terms .. you might be right ..

RSpi007 says:

If the fan runs but you feel no forced air, you likely have a bleed door issue in the dash somewhere. The air is suppose to be directed somewhere, but it is stuck in-between a planned path.

Abhinav Shriram Gurumurthy says:

Hello .. Mine’s a 03 a4 .. and I did a R134a freon recharge a week back .. and it was working fine for 2 days and nor the fan just runs but doesnt blow hot / cold air ? Any idea wat could be the problem? plug rings gone? leaks? clogs ? etc . Please suggest

RSpi007 says:

That’s what I would do.

I have a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T FWD Automatic with 99,000 miles.Lately the AC has been acting a bit weird. Most of the times it works fine and blows cold but on occasion when I come to a stop (red light or stop sign) I can hear the compressor turn off, then ambient air starts blowing through the vents, then after about 10-15 seconds, the compressor kicks back on, and cold air starts blowing again. I can literally hear this process. My guess: a clog or low on r134a. Would a vacuum/recharge help? Thanks

RSpi007 says:

No I do not. If you had to have the system serviced last year, it is possible that the system is leaking and has leaked below the proper limits again. I would check pressure and if it is low, service it with a can of freon. You may also want to find the leak and have the part repaired. (I never use stop leak freon).

John Shaughnessy says:

ok robert many thanks for the super fast reply.I may check the fuses,i had it re-gased just over a year ago by a friends garage,do you know by any chance what fuse should i be looking out for.thanks john

John Shaughnessy says:

in any way but after watching your video i want to try to fix it myself. As mine was leaking should i try and get a r-134a super seal repair kit (from ebay).Would that seal any small leaks in the pipes. Also does this also regas the system or do i then need to buy gas after.I understand that maybe my air conditioning pump/compressor may be broken. Not sure whats best,i can buy a used one from a breakers yard off ebay for about £80 off ebay as audi can be £650 or pattern one is about £380.thanks jon

RSpi007 says:

The A4 shown is a 2004 model.

RSpi007 says:

Anytime you use the car’s AC, any AC system with a compressor for that matter, will take moisture out of the air and cause it to drip somewhere. So, if you run the AC it is normal to have “water dripping”.

John Shaughnessy says:

Hi Robert.Greetings from a very hot london!!! My audi a4 2.5tdi 2001 models aircon has stopped working. Before it stopped working i noticed under the front passenger side (or left side of the car from looking out from inside the car) in front of the vwheel that what thought was water was leaking when i drove the car.I checked the washer bottle and that was full as was the water for the cars radiator was full too.So it must of been the air con gas that was leaking.I am not in any way a car fixer

RSpi007 says:

That was an ’03. You have to follow the tubes that go off the dryer.

Betty Bender says:

What year is your Audi?? Mine is a 96. We couldn’t find the port to add the freon.
