Alberto Meza says:

My turbos are blown and I've have started the process of taking the engine out. These videos are invaluable in helping me out.

I just put my engine back in a few days ago bc my turbos blew it was my first time and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be

Rob Hinze says:

Right on Bob! I have a rebuilt transmission with a new torque converter in my garage waiting to go in but I have to wait till the weather gets warmer. It has been -10 on average lately here in Vancouver British Columbia, but it's starting to get warmer.

I just did full turbo back exhaust on my 2.7t allroad over the holidays an D I watched you stage 2 vids for reference. I was able to get it all done without lowering the sub frame but I think the allroad platform may have a bit more room than the b5. Wow what a difference though!

Thing is, I can really notice the TQ converter not locking up with the added power.

I recently went to the local ski hill and when I got to the top the burning smell was terrible, lol. It has had the TQ converter code for almost a year now so I need to get at it soon, as well as replace a blown turbo coolant line that I have Mickey moused right now to get by.

If your coolant lines haven't leaked yet, PLEASE have a close look at them right where they crimp to the hard line. I would hate to see you get it back together to have that blow they are impossible to replace with the engine in.

Best of luck and I cant wait to see the progress.
