Petko Andreev says:

To those who are scared to do this themselves:
1.LCD Chinese (they all are anyway) -$17-25 on eBay
2.Flux/Rosin paste – $5 on eBay.
3. Soldering iron 20-30W no more.If you live in the US Walmart has $5 soldering irons that will work long enough to finish the job.
Total ~$30 and some of your free time.
You do not need to have a heat gun.Nice to have it but not required. You can use the soldering iron to heat a little and pull, heat and pull. The pins on the old screen cannot be saved.
The cluster is held by two screws and it has 3 connectors on the back.Very easy to remove. There are plenty of videos on YouTube.
Take your time and disassemble the cluster. To remove the needles cut a sheet of paper and slide in between the plate and the needle.I use a fork to pry out the needle.Make sure you take pictures of the positions of the needles.
I did this in 25 minutes and I have never soldered FPC cable before.(I do solder many other things though).
TIP:Flux is your friend! You can hardly ever solder anything without flux.Apply and everything will be OK.For cleaning you can use cotton swabs and any alcohol.Vodka works best :))))
